Procrastination everyone loves to do. Unintentionally, we procrastinate every day, every minute, and second. While procrastinating, most people watch videos about being productive. If you are procrastinating about something and trying to read this article to be a productive person and track your productivity, then you are in the right place.

Session – Activity Timer is an app that tracks the amount of time you have spent on the task which you have been working on. It does not just track your time spent. It displays motivational quotes to keep you motivated and finish your work. This app is available in the iOS app store to download and stay focused, complete the given work without any trouble.

Google Calendar: The best app ever provided by google to plan your day before and utilize the day to the fullest. With the help of google calendar, plan your week prior. For instance, I get my academic schedule at the start of the semester. I link my schedule to google calendar and block my class times the rest of the time. I assign different tasks which I have that day, try to give more time to a particular time more than you think will spend. That is, to write this article I might take 2 hours, but in my google calendar, I will mention three hours because we end up taking more time or sometimes less if I take less, time I try to use the remaining time with other work I have or take a break. Now that your whole day is pre-planned, wake-up, and finish the tasks.

Freedom: An app to block your distractions for a while. Though you have apps to track productivity, the mighty mind might ask you to stop the timer and surf the internet for some time. It happens to everyone we want to work with, but we want to open your social media handles and scroll. Freedom lets you block that distraction for your desired time, and it will not let you open the app throughout your session. The app has a pre-designed list with categories social, messaging, search engines, shopping, tv/video, games, food delivery, time wasters. Apart from these categories, you can add your list of websites/ apps which you think are distracting.

Forest: An app which will help you stay focused, productive for a longer time. It has the cutest gamified timer which will help you stay focused, and ignore your phone. Forest is based on the idea of pomodoro time technique. You can set a timer from 10 Mins to 120 Mins. When your timer is on, and you finish your work before the timer ends. You feel opening the social media apps and get a quick update. When you exit the app, you get a notification saying, the tree will die and get back immediately, if failed to return, your whole session will be a waste because the timer will reset automatically. Forest is a great distraction killer, helps you stay focused and finish your work.
